Winter Park is Colorado local’s gem that opened in 1940 as a place where people near and far could enjoy the snow and all the fun the mountain had to offer. This painting was my first attempt in the low poly art style and was also the mountain in which I learned to ski. I had fun forming the mountain areas of Mary Jane, Winter Park and the back Vasquez areas in geometric forms that outlined the ski runs and graded the mountain landscape. I created a playful town at the base to represent the life that feeds the mountain.
